Professor Ali Ahmad, the Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly, has sent his congratulations t0 the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh (Dr.) AbdulKadir Oba Sholagberu on his latest appointment as one of the Chief Imams of the Abuja National Mosque.
According to the official pronouncement, this prestigious Chief Imam role places Sheikh Sholagberu among the leaders of one of the most prominent places of worship in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, by his media office spokesperson, Steve Makinde, Professor Ali Ahmad described the appointment as a testament to Sheikh Sholagberu’s hard work and dedication to scholarship and the dissemination of Islamic knowledge globally.
He notes that the new position is a well-deserved honour deserving to be celebrated.
The academia-turned-politician emphasized that Sheikh Sholagberu’s contributions to Islamic scholarship and education have been remarkable, adding that this national role is a befitting recognition of his efforts.
While praying for divine guidance and blessings upon Sheikh Sholagberu in his new role, Professor Ali charged the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate to continue to represent the Islamic values of compassion, justice, and wisdom whilst utilizing his scholarly expertise as a service to the Islamic community globally.
