Professor Ali Ahmad Denounces False Claims of Involvement in Ilorin West LG Congress
Professor Ali Ahmad strongly refutes baseless allegations linking him to the Ilorin West Local Government Congress held on September 20, 2025, at Royal Rock Hall, Gaa Odota, Ilorin.
False narratives have emerged suggesting that the election for the Local Government Youth Leader position was a contest between a candidate allegedly sponsored by Professor Ahmad and another aspirant. Professor Ahmad categorically denies any involvement, stating, “I have never interfered in the internal affairs of any local government, including Ilorin West. These malicious claims are designed to sow discord within our party but it has exposed the ulterior motives of those spreading them.”
Professor Ahmad has formally requested an investigation by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to identify and sanction those responsible for this deliberate misinformation. He remains steadfast in his commitment to internal democracy and the unity of the PDP.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the PDP and the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, President of the 8th Nigeria Senate, Professor Ahmad urges party members to remain focused and resolute in their efforts to deliver Kwara State from clueless governance.
