PROF. ALI AHMAD REMEMBERS SENATOR RAFIU IBRAHIM ONE YEAR ON
Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad, commemorates the life and enduring legacy of Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, who passed away one year ago today, on April 17, 2024. Senator Ibrahim’s contributions to Nigerian politics, financial reforms, and community development continue to resonate.
Reflecting on the significance of his life, Prof. Ahmad noted that Senator Ibrahim’s dedication to uplifting his community and advancing financial inclusion has left an indelible mark in the hearts of many.
“Senator Rafiu Ibrahim’s life was a true testament to the power of service, humility, and commitment to the greater good,” Prof. Ahmad said. “His work in the Senate, especially in shaping Nigeria’s financial landscape, helped lay a solid foundation for future reforms.”
He emphasized that Senator Ibrahim’s contributions were not limited to his legislative work; his philanthropic efforts, through the Rafiu Ibrahim Foundation, empowered countless youths and women with educational scholarships, financial literacy programs, and skill development initiatives. These efforts continue to impact the lives of many.
“Senator Ibrahim’s legacy is not confined to the corridors of power; it lives on in the lives of those he uplifted and the policies he helped shape. His enduring spirit remains with us today,” Prof. Ahmad remarked.
In his prayers, Prof. Ahmad remembered the people of Ojoku, Senator Ibrahim’s hometown, asking for strength and perseverance as they carry on his vision. He also extended heartfelt prayers to Senator Ibrahim’s political family and supporters, acknowledging their resilience in keeping his legacy alive.
