PROF. ALI AHMAD FELICITATES SHEIKH DR. ABDULKADIR OBA SALMAN SHOLAGBERU ON HIS TURBANING AS MALAMI UBANDOMA OF ILORIN EMIRATE, COMMENDS HIS SCHOLARLY AND MORAL CONTRIBUTIONS
“With a deep sense of goodwill, I extend my warm congratulations and sincere prayers to Sheikh Dr. Abdulkadir Oba Salman Sholagberu on his official turbaning as the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate.”
Prof. Ali Ahmad former Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, described the turbaning, performed by His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Emir of Ilorin, as a well-deserved recognition of Sheikh Sholagberu’s lifelong dedication to Islamic scholarship, moral guidance, and the preservation of Ilorin’s religious and cultural heritage.
He noted that Sheikh Sholagberu’s intellectual depth, humility, and consistency in the propagation of sound Islamic values have continued to earn him respect within the Ilorin Emirate and beyond, making the conferment of the prestigious title both timely and symbolic.

Prof. Ahmad described the Malami Ubandoma as a scholar whose influence transcends the pulpit, combining knowledge with approachability and cultural consciousness, particularly in his engagement with younger generations and the wider community.
He further emphasized that traditional institutions are strengthened when scholarly leadership is anchored on integrity, moderation, and service, values that Sheikh Sholagberu has consistently demonstrated in his religious and public life.
Concluding, Prof. Ahmad prayed that Almighty Allah grants Sheikh Dr. Abdulkadir Oba Salman Sholagberu wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to continue to uphold the honour of the Ilorin Emirate and to remain a source of enlightenment, unity, and moral renewal for generations to come.
