Prof. Ali Ahmad Felicitates Muslims Worldwide on Maulud an-Nabiy

On the blessed occasion of Maulud an-Nabiy, the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, extends warm felicitations to Muslims across the globe.

Prof. Ahmad described the celebration as a time for reflection and renewal, urging the Muslim Ummah to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s humility, compassion, and justice. He emphasized that the Prophet’s life remains a timeless guide for humanity in faith, governance, and personal conduct.

Quoting the Qur’an, he recalled: “And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds” (Qur’an 21:107). He noted that in today’s Nigeria, where citizens face economic hardship, insecurity, and moral decline, Muslims must embody this prophetic mercy. “Our duty is to show compassion, uphold justice, speak truth with wisdom, and work for the peace and progress of our nation,” he stressed.

Prof. Ahmad urged that the celebration should go beyond rituals to practical action—living with honesty, fairness, and unity. He added that true success lies in applying the Prophet’s teachings daily: standing against corruption, supporting the weak, and building brotherhood across divides.

He prayed that Almighty Allah showers His mercy on the Ummah, strengthens unity, and blesses Nigeria with peace, prosperity, and stability.

“On behalf of myself and my family, I celebrate with Muslims worldwide on this Maulud, and I pray it ushers in abundant blessings, renewed hope, and moral revival for our country,” Prof. Ahmad concluded.
