PROF. ALI AHMAD DONATES ONE MILLION NAIRA CASH, ADVOCATES FOR DEEP ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE FOR THE YOUNGER GENERATION
It was a nostalgic moment at the graduation ceremony held today at Madrasah Darul-Arqam, Opomalu, Ilorin. The former Speaker of the State, Rt. Hon. Ali Ahmad, while addressing the people at the event, emphasised the prioritisation of grooming the younger generations in Islamic and Qur’anic scholarship and knowledge, as the positive impacts are far-reaching and long-term beneficial.
The Professor, while speaking in proficient Arabic, implored the graduands to imbibe the teachings and skills they learnt at the Madrassa as a tool in shaping their lives for the greater good of the society.
He further stated that children rooted in Islamic knowledge are potential good representatives in other spheres of life, such as politics, academia, medicine, law, etc.
While concluding his speech, he thanked the teachers and administrators of the institution and also made his donation of one million naira [N1,000,000] and prayed for the graduates for a better and prosperous future.
