PROF. ALI AHMAD CONGRATULATES SHEIKH MUHAMMAD BASHIR DASUKI ON HIS OFFICIAL TURBANING AS THE 13TH CHIEF IMAM FULANI OF THE ILORIN EMIRATE

Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his official turbaning as the 13th Chief Imam Fulani of the Ilorin Emirate, describing the occasion as a historic milestone and a well-deserved recognition of his scholarship, exemplary character, and unwavering commitment to the service of Islam and humanity.

Prof. Ahmad noted that the ceremony signifies the beginning of a new chapter of spiritual leadership and reaffirms the enduring values of knowledge, piety, humility, and service that have continued to define the revered Islamic institutions of the Ilorin Emirate.

“Today is a memorable day for the Ilorin Emirate and the Muslim Ummah as Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki is officially turbaned as the 13th Chief Imam Fulani of the Ilorin Emirate. I heartily congratulate him and pray that Almighty Allah grants him sound health, wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to discharge the sacred responsibilities of this office.”

Prof. Ahmad described Sheikh Dasuki as an accomplished Islamic scholar, educator, and mentor whose lifelong dedication to Qur’anic education, religious enlightenment, moral instruction, and community development has positively impacted generations within and beyond the Ilorin Emirate.

According to him, Sheikh Dasuki’s emergence reflects the confidence reposed in his ability to provide spiritual guidance, promote peaceful coexistence, and preserve the rich Islamic heritage of the Emirate.

“His appointment is a testament to his scholarship, humility, sincerity, and selfless service to Islam. I am confident that his leadership will strengthen the faith, inspire the younger generation of scholars, and further promote unity, justice, compassion, and moral excellence throughout our society.”

Prof. Ahmad also commended His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Mai Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, and the Ilorin Emirate Council for their wisdom and commitment to preserving the cherished traditions and religious heritage of the Emirate.
