Prof. Ali Ahmad Charges PDP Members to Uphold Discipline Ahead of Kwara State Congress
Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, has called on all members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State to approach the forthcoming State Congress with discipline, loyalty, and an unshakable commitment to the party’s unity.
In a statement issued through his media office, Prof. Ahmad stressed that the State Congress marks a defining moment for the PDP in Kwara as it prepares to consolidate its structures for the battles ahead. He noted that congresses are not just about electing officers, but about renewing trust, strengthening cohesion, and reinforcing the values that have long distinguished the PDP in the state.
According to him, “The State Congress provides another opportunity for us to demonstrate that the PDP remains the most organized, disciplined, and forward-looking political party in Kwara. It is a time to show that our internal democracy is built on loyalty to the party and respect for leadership, not on unhealthy rivalries or divisions.”
Prof. Ahmad urged delegates, aspirants, and stakeholders to ensure the process reflects the maturity and unity that have become the hallmark of the PDP family under its leadership. He further emphasized that any differences or grievances should be managed with decorum, dialogue, and the collective interest of the party in mind.
He added that Kwara PDP must continue to show the people of the state that it is prepared to provide direction, stability, and competent leadership where others have failed. “The congress is a call to duty and a reaffirmation of our shared destiny. We must remain guided by loyalty and discipline so that our structures remain firm and our hope for 2027 stays bright,” Prof. Ahmad said.
Prof. Ahmad concluded by expressing confidence that the State Congress will not only be peaceful but will also strengthen the PDP’s readiness to reclaim its mandate as the true choice of the people of Kwara State.
