Prof. Ali Ahmad: A Leader Who Truly Served the People
For the people of Ilorin South and Ilorin East, Prof. Ali Ahmad is more than just a politician—he’s a servant leader who brought real change.
While in the House of Representatives, he didn’t just speak in Abuja—he worked hard to make laws that protect ordinary people. One of his biggest achievements was helping pass a law that made sure people get fair treatment in court (the Administration of Criminal Justice Act). He also helped push the government to be more open and honest through the Freedom of Information Law.
When he came back home to serve as Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, he didn’t forget the people. He passed laws that helped manage public money better and made sure local governments did their jobs well.
In the villages and towns across Ilorin East and South, Prof. Ahmad built roads, renovated schools, gave scholarships, and helped youths learn skills to start their own businesses. Women were not left out—many received grants and support to become financially independent.
To many, Prof. Ali Ahmad wasn’t just a representative in government—he was a voice for the people. And even after leaving office, his good works continue to speak for him.
