PRESS RELEASE

PROF. ALI AHMAD HOSTS ILORIN SOUTH LIKE-MINDED, STAKEHOLDERS, CHARGES MEMBERS ON UNITED FRONT FOR 2027 VICTORY

Professor Ali Ahmad has hosted members of the Ilorin South Like-minded and other stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), charging them to build a united and formidable front capable of delivering victory for the party and all its candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the engagement, Prof. Ali Ahmad emphasised the need for members to rise above personal ambitions, group interests, and individual differences, stressing that the collective interest of the party and the future of Kwara State must remain paramount.

He noted that the political mission ahead is bigger than any individual or tendency and requires unity, discipline, sacrifice, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the success of the party.

“What is ahead of us is bigger than any individual, bigger than any tendency, and bigger than any group. Our focus must be the PDP and the greater interest of Kwara State. We must be prepared to make sacrifices today for the better Kwara we all aspire to see tomorrow.”

Prof. Ali Ahmad stressed that the ultimate objective should be to secure victory for all PDP candidates in the 2027 general elections, rather than pursuing the interest of any individual or group.

He said the collective aspiration should be to celebrate victory across all elective positions, including the governorship, three Senatorial seats, six Federal House of Representatives seats, and all 24 House of Assembly seats.

He identified Engr. Kale Kawu as the party’s governorship candidate and urged members to work collectively towards securing his victory alongside that of all other PDP candidates.

The former Speaker further called on the Ilorin South Like-minded and other stakeholders to embrace reconciliation, cooperation, and mutual respect, stressing that internal differences should not be allowed to weaken the party’s chances at the polls.

He encouraged the stakeholders to extend the message of unity to the grassroots and collaborate with other tendencies within the party to build a strong and cohesive political structure ahead of 2027.

“The mission is not about who gets what today; it is about what we can collectively achieve for Kwara tomorrow. If we remain united, disciplined and committed, we can achieve the better Kwara that our people aspire to see.”

The engagement featured frank discussions, exchange of ideas, and renewed commitment towards strengthening unity within the party and mobilising support for all its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Prof. Ali Ahmad expressed confidence that with sincerity of purpose, sacrifice, reconciliation, and genuine unity, the PDP would emerge victorious across the various elective positions in the 2027 elections.
