PRESENTATION OF ADMISSION LETTERS TO 120 INDIGENT HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENTS SPONSORED BY THE ALI AHMAD FOUNDATION
The Ali Ahmad Foundation has again demonstrated its deep commitment to education, empowerment, and social responsibility. On Saturday, 23rd August 2025, the Foundation held the presentation of admission letters to 120 indigent students who were awarded full scholarships to study at the College of Health Science, Alaasan, Osun State.
The colourful ceremony was attended by representatives of the College, parents/guardians of the students, members of the Foundation’s management and notable dignitaries. The event not only marked the beginning of a new academic journey for the beneficiaries but also reaffirmed the Foundation’s resolve to support the vulnerable and underserved in society.
In his welcome address, the Registrar of the College, Mr. Taiwo Adewale Aderibigbe, applauded the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention in the lives of many families who could not have afforded such an opportunity. He charged the beneficiaries to remain dedicated and diligent, reminding them that education is both a privilege and a responsibility.
The Head of Department, Mrs. Abiola Rukkayah, echoed the Registrar’s sentiments. She stressed that the gesture by Professor Ali Ahmad went beyond financial assistance—it was a seed of hope planted in the lives of the students. She encouraged them to nurture it through discipline, resilience, and academic excellence.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Mallam Mahmud Kamaldeen expressed profound gratitude to the benefactor. With emotion, he recounted how his daughter had prayed tirelessly for a chance to pursue her dream of studying health sciences. According to him, the scholarship is nothing short of divine intervention. He prayed for continuous blessings and strength for Professor Ali Ahmad to keep uplifting the less privileged.
Beyond the formalities, the event was filled with emotions as parents, students, and well-wishers celebrated the life-changing opportunity. Many of the students, who came from disadvantaged backgrounds across Kwara State, expressed their joy and promised to make the most of the scholarship. Some were seen shedding tears of gratitude, a testimony to the impact of the gesture.
The Executive Director of the Ali Ahmad Foundation Sarafadeen Abdul Raheem, Esq. reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to expanding its reach, stressing that education, especially in critical areas like health sciences, remains a tool for social transformation. He assured that the Foundation would continue to monitor and support the students throughout their four-year academic journey.
In his remarks, Professor Ali Ahmad, who was represented by all the members of the Board,
emphasised that education is the greatest legacy one can offer the next generation, and supporting indigent students is a duty he holds dear. He promised that more interventions would follow in other areas such as vocational training, healthcare support, and community empowerment.
At the Ali Ahmad Foundation, we remain resolute in our mission to uplift the vulnerable, empower the underserved, and strengthen communities through discipline, integrity, and compassion. Today’s event was another step forward in that noble journey.
