Eid al-Kabir Reflections from Ilorin: Celebrating Unity, Loyalty, and Renewed Commitment to the PDP
Yesterday, Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and leading aspirant for the 2027 Kwara State gubernatorial election, arrived in his beloved hometown of Ilorin to partake in the spiritual uplifting and joyful celebrations of Eid al-Kabir.
In the true spirit of Eid, Prof. Ahmad hosted a special gathering that brought together key stakeholders of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), from across the Ilorin Emirate. The event welcomed respected party chairpersons, energetic youth leaders, influential community figures, and prominent women leaders — all united in purpose and vision.
This gathering was not merely a festive get-together; it was an intentional act of gratitude. Prof. Ahmad took the opportunity to thank these dedicated individuals for their unwavering loyalty and enduring belief in the PDP. Their commitment has continued to give life to the ideals and legacy of our party, especially within Ilorin and Kwara State at large.
The event was marked by a joyful and harmonious atmosphere, with moments of laughter, heartfelt prayers, and renewed fraternity. It was a reminder of the deep bonds that tie us together — not just as party members, but as a family of shared destiny, committed to progress and equity.
Prof. Ahmad also used the occasion to reaffirm his unshakable dedication to working hand-in-hand with the PDP leadership. As someone deeply rooted in the Dynasty tradition, he understands the unique responsibilities and expectations that come with that legacy. With this in mind, he expressed his commitment to reorient and strengthened the PDP, ensuring that the party continues to reflect the will and needs of the people.
The gathering underscored a pivotal truth: Ilorin remains not only a historical and spiritual hub but also a stronghold of political consciousness and organized leadership. Prof. Ahmad’s presence and engagement rekindled hope among party faithfuls, signaling that greater unity and purpose lie ahead.
As we celebrate this sacred season, Prof. Ahmad extends his heartfelt Eid al-Kabir greetings to all Muslims across Ilorin, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large. He prays that this season brings peace, happiness, and divine blessings to every household.
May Allah accept our sacrifices and renew our strength in service to humanity and our communities.
Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak
