Ali Ahmad Foundation Unveil 80% Health Science Scholarship to 120 Aspiring Students
Ilorin, Nigeria – August 4th, 2025
In a bold and transformative initiative aimed at bridging the gap between quality education and Nigeria’s growing healthcare demands, the Ali Ahmad Foundation (TAAF) has announced an 80% tuition scholarship opportunity for 120 young Nigerians aspiring to build meaningful careers in the health sector.
This life-changing opportunity is being delivered in collaboration with the Oluwabunmi College of Health Science and Technology, located in Alaasan, Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State—just about a two-hour drive from Kwara State.
According to the Foundation, the scholarship will cover 80% of tuition fees for qualified applicants across a wide range of fully accredited health-related programmes. The application period is open from Monday, August 4th to Wednesday, August 6th, 2025.
Available Programmes Include:
* Environmental Health Technology
* Orthopedic & Plaster Cast Technology
* Public Health Technology
* Dispensing Opticianry Technology
* Health Information Management
* Pharmaceutical Technician
* Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW)
* Public Health Technician
* Health Assistant Medical (6-Month Certificate)
The application is completely free, and students awaiting results from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or JAMB are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates must possess a minimum of five credits in relevant science subjects—including English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics—in not more than two sittings.
Importantly, candidates with deficient results may also apply, provided they can make up for the missing requirements within one year of commencement.
While addressing journalists, Professor Ali Ahmad*, Founder of the Foundation and a renowned education advocate, reaffirmed his commitment to empowering young people through educational access:
“I was once a beneficiary of a scholarship, and I will continue to give and support the less privileged. Education changed my life, and I want others to have that same opportunity — especially in the health sector, where every trained hand can save lives.”
To ensure inclusivity, the Foundation assures prospective applicants that distance should not be a barrier. Support is available via phone, with guidance offered remotely throughout the application process. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for subsequent admission procedures.
Affordable hostel accommodation is also available for successful students at the college.
