Adeoti-Temidire Community: Residents lauds Ali Ahmad Foundation for restoring long-abandoned water facility in Ilorin

In a heartwarming show of gratitude, residents and leaders of the Adeoti-Temidire community in Ilorin South LGA, have commended Professor Ali Ahmad, the founder of the Ali Ahmad Foundation (TAAF), for restoring a long-abandoned water facility in their community.

This is as the leader of the Muslim community in the area solicited support towards providing a facelift and necessary facilities for their place of worship.

Speaking on Tuesday during the installation of borehole pipes and new pumping machine, Sheikh Suleiman Muhammad Yahaya Temidire, the Chief Imam of Adeoti-Temidire central mosque in Tanke community, notes that the intervention comes as a significant relief to the people of Adeoti-Temidire community, who have endured years of hardship due to a lack of access to potable water.

The cleric who spoke highly of the ex-federal lawmaker described Professor Ali Ahmad as a “God-sent humanitarian whose selfless contributions have brought immense relief to the people of Adeoti-Temidire community.”

He said, “Professor Ali Ahmad’s intervention has lifted the burden of water scarcity that our community has endured for years. We are eternally grateful to him and his foundation for fixing our borehole pipes and providing a new pumping machine.

“This timely gesture has alleviated the suffering of our residents and reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity. May God grant him the strength and resources to continue his noble work.”

Mallam Yahaya Ayinla Temidire, the traditional head in the community, expressed profound appreciation for Professor Ali Ahmad’s long-standing dedication to community development and human capacity building.

He acknowledged the former Kwara speaker’s enviable track records in terms of human capacity building and community-driven projects throughout his privileged positions.

The community leader equally remarked that Professor Ali Ahmad’s antecedents as a listener and lover of the masses stands him out among his equals.

“As a son of an Islamic scholar, whose lifetime was devoted to humanity, Professor Ali Ahmad has consistently demonstrated that he is a man of the people. His track record as a compassionate leader who listens and acts on the needs of the masses stands him out of his equals. This laudable gesture further underscores his values as a worthy son of the late Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani, whose legacy of Islamic teachings continues to inspire.”

In his remarks, the Executive Director of the Ali Ahmad Foundation, Barr. Sharafdeen Ibraheem, thanked the community leaders for their prayers and praises towards the intervention efforts.

He, therefore, assured that the foundation will continue to uphold its core mission of providing sustainable solutions to pressing challenges faced by local communities.

Meanwhile, the Muslim community in the area has solicited for additional support for the renovation and remodelling of the mosque, highlighting its importance as a central place of worship for the community.

“As a son of a devoted Islamic scholar, we are confident in your commitment to humanity and humbly request your assistance in improving the facilities of our Central Mosque to enhance our worship and activities,” Mallam Adeoti Temidire said.

The restored water facility marks a significant milestone in the ongoing community-driven initiatives by the Ali Ahmad Foundation, while the community expressed optimism that this intervention will inspire further partnerships and support for additional infrastructure development in the area.
