PROF. ALI AHMAD COMMENDS KWARA TABLOID ACADEMIC LIFELINE ON MAIDEN FREE WAEC NECO REGISTRATION SUPPORT

Professor Ali Ahmad has warmly commended The Kwara Tabloid Academic Lifeline for its highly impactful initiative aimed at supporting indigent students through free WAEC and NECO registration.

Speaking through his representative, Hon. Abdulrafiu Abdulrahman, at the maiden edition of the programme held at The Knowledge Platform, Mustapha Akanbi Foundation Complex, Ilorin, Prof. Ali Ahmad described the intervention as a timely and noble investment in the future of Kwara State, noting that education remains the most reliable pathway for empowerment, dignity, and long-term societal progress.

Prof. Ali Ahmad particularly praised Mr. Tunde Bakare, the Convener of Kwara Tabloid and initiator of the programme, describing the initiative as a practical response to the harsh economic realities facing many families, where brilliant students are often denied opportunities due to inability to afford examination fees.

He congratulated the beneficiaries and advised them to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to excellence, stressing that the support given to them is not merely financial assistance but a responsibility that must be justified through good character and outstanding academic performance.

The former Speaker also expressed appreciation to all individuals and organizations who contributed to the success of the programme, including sponsors, partners, stakeholders, and all well meaning supporters who ensured the smooth execution of the event.

However, Prof. Ali Ahmad noted that the challenges ahead remain significant, as the number of indigent students across Kwara State continues to rise daily. He emphasized that the success recorded in this maiden edition must not be the end, but the beginning of a broader and more sustainable intervention.

He therefore called on well meaning individuals, corporate organizations, philanthropists, community leaders, and public spirited Kwarans to support Kwara Tabloid Academic Lifeline in scaling up the programme to reach more students across the state. According to him, the initiative deserves stronger partnerships, increased sponsorship, and collective commitment, because the burden of educational support cannot be carried by a few alone.

Prof. Ali Ahmad reaffirmed his support for credible educational interventions and stressed that when society supports a child, it is ultimately securing its own future.

He concluded by praying for Allah’s continued blessings upon the organizers and beneficiaries, and for the emergence of a better, stronger, and more educated Kwara State.
