Prof. Ali Ahmad Congratulates Kwara PDP Executives, Urges Unity and Preparedness for Challenges Ahead
Prof. Ali Ahmad, former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly and Professor of Constitutional Law, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State following the successful conclusion of the State Congress.
In his message, Prof. Ahmad commended party members across all levels — from the wards and local governments to the state — for their peaceful conduct and resolute commitment to the unity of the PDP family. He also commended the officiating panels, including the National Monitoring Teams and the representatives of INEC, for their professionalism and transparency which ensured the credibility of the exercise.
He particularly congratulated the new State Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Issa Bawa, alongside the State and Senatorial Executives, on their emergence through a process that once again reflected the discipline and organization that define the PDP in Kwara.
Prof. Ahmad further appreciated the Leader of the party, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for his personal commitment and the enormous resources he dedicated to the success of the congress, describing him as the pillar of unity and direction for the PDP in Kwara.
He called on the newly inaugurated executives at all tiers of the party structure to see their victory as a call to service and responsibility. “The challenges before our party are enormous, but they are not insurmountable. With unity, loyalty, and steadfast commitment to the ideals of our great party under the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, we shall overcome and reposition PDP as the people’s true alternative in Kwara,” he said.
He further urged the new officers to remain focused on strengthening the party, reconciling differences, and mobilizing widely to ensure that PDP reclaims its mandate in 2027.
Prof. Ahmad concluded with a prayer for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the new executives in their respective assignments, expressing confidence that their leadership will consolidate the gains of the past and usher in greater victories for the PDP in Kwara State.
