- PROF. ALI AHMAD FELICITATES CHRISTIAN FAITHFUL ON EASTER CELEBRATION
- Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad, extends his heartfelt felicitations to Christians in Kwara State, Nigeria, and across the world as they commemorate the Easter season—one of the most sacred and reflective periods in the Christian calendar.
Reflecting on the essence of Easter, Prof. Ahmad emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes not just victory over death, but the enduring virtues of love, sacrifice, forgiveness, and hope. He quoted renowned theologian N.T. Wright: “The message of Easter is that God’s new world has been unveiled in Jesus Christ and that you’re now invited to belong to it.”
“Easter offers a timeless reminder that even in the face of suffering and despair, renewal is always possible. It is a call to embody Christ-like compassion in our daily lives,” Prof. Ahmad noted.
He urged the Christian faithful to remain steadfast and inspired by the life of Jesus Christ, whose teachings promote justice, humility, resilience, and unity. “In a time when our society faces numerous challenges, we must embrace the spirit of Easter to strengthen our resolve, build bridges of understanding, and work together for a better future.”
Prof. Ahmad also extended his prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity in Kwara State and across Nigeria, urging all citizens to unite across religious and ethnic divides to build a nation founded on mutual respect and shared destiny.
“As we celebrate Easter, may its message of hope and redemption reignite our collective commitment to the values that uplift humanity,” he concluded.
