Ex-Kwara Speaker mourns Islamic Preacher Sheikh Muhydeen Ajani Bello, Community Leader Alhaji Yahaya Olayiwola Ajia deaths

Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad has mourned the passing of two prominent figures: Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, a famously revered Islamic preacher, and Alhaji Yahaya Olayiwola Ajia, a community leader in Ilorin Emirate, whose demise was announced on December 3, and 6, 2024, respectively.

In a statement on Friday by the spokesperson for his media office, Steve Makinde, Professor Ali Ahmad described Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello’s death as a national loss, highlighting his contributions to Islamic virtues and his advocacy for moral rectitude in the polity.

He extolled the late cleric’s commitment to holding leaders accountable to the people via his fierce sermons throughout his years of Islamic propagation.

The academia-turned-politician condoled with the Muslim communities, particularly the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, the people and government of Oyo State, who have lost a valuable asset in Sheikh Ajani Bello.

“The footprints of Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello will forever remain evergreen and shall be remembered in the sand of time, particularly his fiery sermons throughout his years of Islamic propagation and advocacy for a sane society,” Prof. Ali noted.

Also, Professor Ali Ahmad sent his heartfelt condolences to the Ajia Saka Saka community in Magaji Ngeri, Ilorin West LGA, over the loss of their illustrious community leader, Alhaji Yahaya Olayiwola Ajia.

He specifically commiserate with Dr. Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia and other children of the late community leader, asking Allah to comfort them in this difficult moment.

Professor Ali, therefore, prayed Allah to grant the duo deceased prominent leaders a befitting abode in Aljanatil Fridaus.
