Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly who also doubles as a Professor of Constitutional Law and Legislative Studies, Prof. Ali Ahmad has congratulated the newly appointed Director General of Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), Prof. Ibrahim Abikan AbdulQadir on his new recognition.
According to a statement on Thursday by the spokesperson for his media office, Steve Makinde, the academia-turned-politician, described the appointment of Professor Abikan as a round peg in a round hole.
He expressed confidence in the choice of the renowned Professor of Islamic Law, adding that his vast knowledge in teaching, research, and consulting across various legal sectors, as well as his sophisticated networks within the international legal communities would greatly benefit the Advanced Legal Studies in Nigeria, especially during this critical period.
While praying for Allah’s divine guidance and wisdom in his new role, Professor Ali wishes the new DG a successful tenure in office.
